Still

A yoga studio built around the part everyone else rushes.

Four in, six out While you're here, you may as well. A longer exhale than inhale is the quickest way to tell a nervous system it's safe — and it's most of what we do in Breath.

The idea

Stillness isn't the reward at the end of class. It's the whole practice.

Most studios sell intensity — more heat, more reps, a body you don't have yet. We built STILL around the opposite: a room you come to in order to stop.

Every class here protects a minimum of eight minutes of savasana. It doesn't get cut when the teacher runs long; the sequence gets cut instead. Eighteen mats, no mirrors, no front row, and nobody watching you.

Three ways in

Move

Vinyasa, slow flow and alignment-led hatha. No flexibility required and no experience needed. Modifications are offered first, not as a fallback.

Breathe

Forty-five minutes of pranayama and seated meditation, weekdays at 12:15 — the one class you can do in a lunch break and go back to work.

Rest

Still, our signature. Seventy-five minutes of restorative practice and sound. Six postures. You'll be on the floor for most of it.

The classes

Seven classes. One word each.

The bar shows how long you’ll be in the room. Steady runs the third and fourth weeks of the month.

What you can hold us to

    • Your first class is free if you've never practised yoga. Always — it isn't a promotion.
    • No lock-in contracts. Freeze your membership up to eight weeks a year, at no cost.
    • Eighteen mats. We'd rather run another class than pack the room.
    • Phones live in the lockers. The room is a phone-free room.
    • Late arrivals are let in, quietly, at the back. You've never been turned away from STILL.
    • Our teachers are paid above award — per class and per student — and paid if a class is cancelled.

    The teacher

    Twenty-five years in the Army.
Eight hundred hours on the mat.

Rich didn't come to yoga looking for peace. He came because his body was asking him to listen. He still teaches in community halls every week, by choice — and he teaches here too.
